Silverstone has unveiled an innovative ticketing concept for the 2026 British Grand Prix, offering fans “mystery seat” grandstand tickets that won’t reveal the actual seating location until 24 hours before the event. The new initiative comes as the circuit faces near-complete sellout conditions, with only a handful of grandstand options remaining available for purchase.
The mystery ticket option provides significant savings for adventurous fans, with Sunday-only seats starting at ยฃ399 and three-day weekend passes priced at ยฃ459. This represents potential savings of up to ยฃ320 compared to standard grandstand tickets, which range from ยฃ629 to ยฃ639 for Sunday-only access and ยฃ609 to ยฃ779 for full weekend packages where still available.
Currently, only two of Silverstone’s 25 grandstands retain Sunday-only ticket availability, while just four grandstands offer three-day weekend options. General admission tickets remain on sale, but the limited grandstand availability demonstrates the continued strong demand for premium viewing experiences at the British Grand Prix.
The mystery seat concept does carry certain risks for purchasers, as the circuit has warned that groups booking together may not be guaranteed adjacent seating due to the unpredictable nature of the offering. Fans will discover their exact seat assignments just one day before the race weekend begins, adding an element of surprise to their Silverstone experience.
