Formula 1 Partners with Hasbro for Special Edition Monopoly Game Featuring 2026 Calendar

Formula 1 has teamed up with toy giant Hasbro to create a motorsport-themed version of the classic Monopoly board game, set to hit shelves on July 15. The collaboration transforms the traditional property-trading game into a racing experience that mirrors the excitement of the F1 championship.

The F1 Edition replaces conventional property squares with all 24 circuits from the 2026 Formula 1 calendar, allowing players to race around a central track using helmet-shaped tokens representing their chosen teams. Rather than simply collecting money for passing GO, participants compete in what the companies are calling the “Monopoly Grand Prix,” with gameplay mechanics that reflect the dual championship structure of Formula 1.

The game introduces a unique winning system that mirrors F1’s championship format. Victory can be achieved in two ways: the first player to complete the race claims the drivers’ championship, while the participant with the highest point total at game’s end wins the constructors’ title. This dual-path approach maintains traditional Monopoly elements while incorporating the competitive spirit of motorsport.

“Monopoly is one of the most iconic and best-loved board games in the world, so we’re thrilled to bring a Formula 1 twist to such a classic,” said Emily Prazer, F1’s chief commercial officer. She emphasized that the edition captures the sport’s excitement in an accessible format for fans of all ages competing with friends and family.

Billy Lagor, Hasbro’s president of toy and games, highlighted the partnership’s appeal, stating that Formula 1 represents one of the world’s most iconic sports. He noted the company’s excitement about bringing race day elements including “roaring engines, pitlane drama, and split-second strategy” into a family game night setting.
