Formula 1 rolls into Monte Carlo this weekend with the sky looking far kinder than it did earlier in the week. After a stretch of heavy rain and thunderstorms across the French Riviera on Monday through Wednesday, the forecast turns progressively drier as the track action approaches โ good news for a circuit where grip and confidence are everything.
Friday, June 5 (Practice): The only real weather question mark of the weekend. Light, on-and-off rain could brush the Principality during the two practice sessions, with cooler highs of around 19ยฐC. If it stays damp, teams will lose valuable time learning the new-for-2026 cars on a green, low-grip surface.
Saturday, June 6 (Final Practice & Qualifying): Sunshine, a gentle breeze and highs near 27ยฐC. Dry conditions are exactly what the field wants for the session that decides almost everything at Monaco, where pole position is worth more here than anywhere else on the calendar.
Sunday, June 7 (Race): Currently forecast warm, sunny and dry, with highs around 27ยฐC and no rain on the radar. That said, Monaco has a long history of late surprises โ sudden showers rolling off the mountains can flip the order in seconds, as 2022 proved. For now the models lean firmly dry, but strategists will keep one eye on the harbour skies right up to lights out.
Session Schedule (Local Time, CEST)
- Friday, June 5 โ Free Practice 1: 13:30 | Free Practice 2: 17:00
- Saturday, June 6 โ Free Practice 3: 12:30 | Qualifying: 16:00
- Sunday, June 7 โ Race: 15:00 (78 laps, 3.337 km Circuit de Monaco)
If the forecast holds, expect a dry, track-position battle decided almost entirely by Saturday’s qualifying โ with the ever-present Monaco rain risk lurking just out of sight.
