Cadillac Formula 1 Team has introduced a patriotic special livery ahead of their first-ever race on American soil at this weekend’s Miami Grand Prix. The star-spangled design features all 50 stars representing each U.S. state, marking a significant milestone for F1’s newest team as they compete in their inaugural home race with drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez.
The special livery incorporates the classic red, white and blue colors of the American flag prominently displayed on the rear wing of the MAC-26 machine. Additionally, both drivers’ race suits will feature “expressive notes of American identity intertwined with understated pride,” creating a comprehensive patriotic theme across the entire team presentation for the weekend.
Chief Brand Advisor Cassidy Towriss emphasized the significance of the design, stating that “The Cadillac Formula 1 Team’s special Miami Grand Prix livery is a natural extension and speaks without excess. It’s deliberate and confident.” Towriss expressed excitement about the team’s first home race, noting the importance of maintaining brand recognition while celebrating their American heritage.
The timing of this special livery coincides with Cadillac bringing a major upgrade package to the MAC-26 car for the Miami weekend. This combination of patriotic presentation and technical development underscores the team’s commitment to making a strong impression in their debut season, particularly on home soil where American fans will get their first opportunity to see the Cadillac team compete in Formula 1.
